Summer pack activities!

Pack 442 has a lot of summer activities planned to keep your scout involved over the summer.  If you complete all three activities below you scout can earn the Summertime Activity Award.

Swim Party – The pack meets at the Friendswood Pool on June 24th 5:00 p.m.  for fun and the opportunity to fulfill requirements for the Swimming Belt Loop, Swimming Pin and Webelos Aquanaut.  If you are interested in helping on that day with running a station for one of the requirements, please let Susan Keeble know.

4th of July Parade – The boys decorate their bikes and ride in the Friendswood 4th of July Parade.  Please meet at the Comerica Bank building on South Friendswood Drive, between East Heritage Drive and East Shadowbend Avenue, by no later than 9am, Wednesday July 4th.  We’ll stage our bikes there, as well as be ready for judging in the bike decoration contest. This year’s theme is “The Sounds of Freedom”.

The daylong celebration will kick off with the Grand Parade that will travel down Friendswood Dr.  The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of FM 518 and Heritage Drive, and will feature over 100 entries from Friendswood and around the State of Texas.  The parade will conclude at Stevenson Park where over 50 booth entries, rides, games, food, live entertainment and fun for the entire family will take place.  The activities will begin shortly after the conclusion of the parade, and will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m. For more information about the 4th of July celebration see the city’s web site: http://www.ci.friendswood.tx.us/Special-Events

Skate Party – We have a party at the skating or ice skating rink with fun activities for the boys. We plan on hold this in August, more information coming soon.
